Join the Team

Children of all races between the ages of 8 and 16 are eligible to join South Shore Drill Team. Most team members live on Chicago’s South Side, but others come from neighborhoods as far away as Rogers Park on the north, Austin on the northwest side, and West Pullman on the southwest side. Many travel from the suburbs and Indiana to be part of this dynamic group.

There are no tryouts and no experience is required. You must, however, be enrolled as a student and be drug-free and gang-free. There is a one-time registration fee of $25 and dues are $20 per month for members.

Our primary recruiting times are in September, January, and late May. If you wish to join at other times, your name may be put on a waiting list. To join up, call our office at (773) 752-7830. We look forward to meeting you!
